My Friends,
Today marks the release of my poetry collection, “We Alive, Beloved.” I am filled with a blend of anxiety and excitement, an anticipation that stirs my soul as I await the world's reception. I have poured my essence into this book, channeling the chaotic beauty, the confusion, and the undying hope that define my life. Each verse is a piece of my being, a testament to my journey, and a reflection of my existence.
Writing this collection was not a mere act of creation; it was an exorcism of sorts, a cathartic release that allowed me to confront the myriad experiences that have shaped me. The pages are imbued with the rhythms of my heart, the beat of my pulse, and the cadence of my thoughts. In them, you will find the echoes of joy and sorrow, love and loss, triumph and despair.
I have bared myself, vulnerable and exposed, hoping that in my words, others might find solace, understanding, and perhaps a piece of themselves. The beauty of poetry lies in its ability to resonate, to strike a chord within the reader that lingers long after the page is turned. It is my hope that “We Alive, Beloved” does just that, touching hearts and minds, sparking conversation, and inspiring reflection.
My hope is that you will all find it in your hearts to support this collection. You see, art is not just about beauty. It is about truth. It is about the world as it is and as it should be. I have always believed in the power of art to move the world forward, to push it toward a better place. That is why, as mentioned before, 50% of my profits from "We Alive, Beloved" will be donated to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund and Friends of the Congo.
When you purchase this book, you are not just buying a collection of poems. You are investing in change, in the possibility of a better world. Each page turned, each verse read, contributes to something greater than all of us. It is my hope that together, through the power of words and the strength of community, we can make a difference.
Let these poems be more than mere lines on paper. Let them be a call to action, a demonstration of our shared humanity. For in supporting this collection, you are supporting life, love, and the enduring hope that we can all be, together, beloved.
With Love,
Frederick
I haven't received my notice from Amazon Canada yet, but I'm really looking forward to having "We Alive, Beloved" in my hands!
I just received an email saying my copy was on the way to me. Can’t wait for it to arrive. I’m going to propose it to my poetry book club as a future read.
