I want you to know that your comment made me feel the opposite of hopeful. In response to an accomplished Black author who is writing books that are so necessary in these times, you wrote a comment that is only about you, about how you want to shine "light" in "dark" times. In response to his books about hope in the face of parental sickness, significant mental health challenges, and sibling death, you've shared that you've curated Far Side cartoons? Please be more thoughtful and kind -- hope is not cultivated by trying to center ourselves in a space that is just not ours.
