Thank you Mr. Joseph. In a world that desperately needs such expansive and compassionate conversations like this one, your words have shown up today as those of the wise and loving father many of us can only image having. Thank you.

Your writing made me stop and look at the images a little more carefully, and to consider the terrible pain, shame and heartbreak being suffered by those in them. This is a truly important piece, thank you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your words continue to sum up so well what I am thinking and feeling. So many Fathers to be held in heart today as they mourn their lost children, and so many children without fathers because of genocide, war, violence, capitalism, colonialism, and all that these things bring.

My heart hurts for so many while also trying to hold space for my own grief (lost my dad 25 yrs ago and his bday was June 15). I am heartened to know that there is a community of love, and resistance, on this sometimes hell-on-earth. You are part of that community, Frederick. 🤎

Wow, a moving description of men. My father was loving and kind. He taught me so much through his actions. Thank you for this wake up call.

Thank you for putting into words what I have been carrying in my soul for some time about the horrific humiliation of men as this relentless cycle of revenge continues and as Black and Brown men the world over are demonized as dangerous. We need to shine more light on their determination to live with dignity.

I see you mentioned Nazisraeli sexual abuse against Palestinian boys... Nazi concentration camp guards were the exact same way. "There is nothing new under the sun." (Ecc. 1:9)

Thanks. The price to pay for living in a patriarcy seems to be the value of our own life itself.

And add to it, the main suspect of evil, of violence, of physical dominance is always a man, too.

But not all men 'are created equal'. Try to step outside this system and you'll face the anger of men and women.
