WOW. Your posts are always profound, and this one really hits deep. YOU are such a gift to our world - thank you for your books and these thoughtful pieces. YOU ARE APPRECIATED!!!!
And you, too, are appreciated. Grateful for what you do generally, and grateful to have begun my day by reading your thoughtful and moving piece. Peace.
Whew I needed that dear heart. 48 hours ago I got a call that my beloved cousin succumbed to her pain. A pain she endured in isolation since Covid. We need connection. A smile from a stranger, an unexpected thank you. Too often heads down no eye contact consumed in the 5x3” rectangle in our hands. A digital world distracting us from reality. We need to see and be seen to survive. We need to give and receive kindness. And yes, we need gratitude. Thank you!
This is beautiful Fred. I mourn for your loss of Lenny. And I am grateful for you my friend. For your heart. Your words. Your soul. You write and speak things I have no words for. Thank you.
This spoke to me. I just lost my grandpa, Tiger, who raised me. The grief has been so profound that I can neither cry nor find the words to describe it . My thoughts are with you as you navigate the loss of Lenny. Your books , and your daily posts always get me thinking . I appreciate you.
My sincere condolences on your losses. I have been dealing with many this year, too, and some land hard, some soft, but all carry grief in a variety of forms. You’ve done a beautiful job of describing grief, the gifts it can give while also ravaging the soul.
You and your writing are deeply appreciated. Thank you for sharing yourself and your gift. Take care of you. 🤎
I appreciate you and your moving words. Grief is part of life, yet we rarely talk about it in a way that accepts that truth.
Everyone should watch the episode of “Human Resources” (Big Mouth spin-off) about *grief* that explores the universal emotion in a way that is profoundly moving and impactful.
