This is exactly why we have to 1. Know who we are. 2. Understand our value. 3. Affirm ourselves and each other. 4. Be able to know when to tell people to Fu.. Off.

What clarity. Thank you for this piece that is both challenging and hugely compassionate all around. Isn't it amazing that people are really watching and focussing on women's basketball and finding that it matters. Hopefully these blinders that cause this biased focus will be lifted and perhaps even make a wider difference in how we understand what makes a winning team- all sorts of stars, smart coaching, resources and support, and lots of heart and hard work by all.

WNBA is like little league for basketball. Itโ€™s cute that girls can play too, but donโ€™t lose sight of the fact that itโ€™s boyโ€™s high school level basketball at best.
