Thank you. I wish my Jewish friends didn’t interpret my heart shattering for all victims of this senseless violence as anti Semitism. Nobody should kill over land. The earth belongs to all of us. People drew the lines. The planet did not. Thank you for this beautiful poem and for the gift of a moment to grieve and acknowledge.

May her name and image, and this poem be emblematic of a call to end the leadership of all the callous, conquering men initiating brutal and unjustifiable wars in which so many innocents inevitably are caught in the crossfires of testosterone and ambition.

There really are no words for the horrors happening, but this poem does a beautiful job of encapsulating it, the heartbreak at the loss of not only Hind but so many children. Thank you for this powerful piece.

This heartfelt poem for Hind Rajab is a powerful tribute to her memory and a poignant reminder of the ongoing tragedy faced by Palestinians. In times of overwhelming sorrow and despair, words can offer solace and solidarity. It's a beautiful testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of compassion.

Thank you for this poem. At this point a poem does more than an essay could hope to accomplish

I've been following the news about Palestine since the beginning. Helplessness, fury, grief. So many children murdered, that could have easily been our own. Hind looks like any other little girl, shining with life and potential and dreams. It's gut wrenching. And we know, of course, it's not just Palestine today, is it, even though Palestine is a particularly cruel example of the worst of humanity (on both sides). It's also Ukraine. Somalia. Brazil. Myanmar. Sudan. Somalia. Burkina Faso. Nigeria. Mexico. The evil of this world carries a chill deeper than the ocean floor.

May we all continue to bear witness and raise our voices against hatred.
